I just have the hardest time getting the proper exposure on backlit subjects. Thought I would show a little before and after of over & under exposed. Lucky for me the hawk stayed perched so I could try the different exposures. Last 2 photos are unedited. 3rd one is only +1/3rd stop compensation and the 4th is +2 stops.
