First time viewing and capture of a beautiful Male Wood duck, magnificent colors. We were a few miles deep into the forest and I was just checking some small ponds and found this guy. I love the excitement of finding something new but also knowing exactly what he is. I think I scared all the females away😞. I probably could have gotten closer but I didn't want to disturb him any more than I have already.
